FEDERAL U.S. FOREIGN-TRADE ZONE 226 (FTZ)

The FTZ is a designated area which, for Customs purposes, is considered outside the U.S. Imported goods that normally carry a tariff can be brought into a FTZ duty-free for almost any kind of processing,. Kings County is a sub-zone linked to FTZ 226, which affords manufacturers the advantage of reducing or avoiding customs duties on imported products.
